Designed by RMJM in partnership with Arup (Main Consultant), Admiralty Station is without doubt Hong Kong’s most important interchange station, located at the intersection of two existing lines ISL, and TWL. With the introduction of two further lines, SIL and SCL, this station will be the largest interchange in Hong Kong, bringing together 4 lines into a single interchange hub.
RMJM developed a concept design that brings the two new platforms into a single large cavern, connecting directly with the existing platforms above. The caverns will orient passengers naturally toward the interchanging escalator banks, offering easy wayfinding. Fitout of the platforms will be phased following the respective opening dates of SIL and SCL.
