Overview

This project is the third of four RMJM schemes for the University of Oxford and illustrates clearly the benefits of repeat business with this important client. The project was initiated by the Engineering Science Department at Oxford, and the new Information Engineering Building was set to play an important role in the Department’s future.

One of the main purposes of the building is to unify key research groups including Medical Imaging, Robotics, Communications, Optoelectronics and Control & Instrumentation.

In the past these groups were widely dispersed; by bringing them together, greater collaboration and interaction enhances their already strong record of innovation, and in association with the Department’s industrial partners, is stimulating new technologies in this crucially important area.
