RMJM has been nominated for ‘Large Middle East Architecture Firm of the Year’ at the upcoming Middle East Architect Awards. The awards recognise outstanding architecture and are a benchmark of success in the Middle East’s architecture sector. RMJM’s nomination follows a number of nominations and award wins over recent months and is a further indicator of the company’s continued success in the region.

A series of projects, both underway and completed, have meant that 2016 has been a year to remember for RMJM Dubai. Earlier this year RMJM announced its design for the Gate Avenue at DIFC, one of Dubai’s most anticipated projects, which will see the company deliver an icon premium lifestyle destination to the city. The Stella Maris Tower (a recipient of a Cityscape Global nomination), a number of four and five-star hotels, a string of projects in Riyadh as well as several interior design award nominations for the new RMJM office in the Dubai Design District (d3) mean that it has already been an extremely successful year for the team in Dubai. The announcement that RMJM has been appointed as Executive Architect and Interior Designer for ‘The Tower’ underlined the strength of RMJM in the Middle East.

Of course, RMJM has a long history in Dubai having established its first office in 1971 before going on to secure countless high profile commissions over the following decades including the Dubai Convention Centre (DICC), The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and the world’s furthest leaning building, the Capital Gate.

Despite a challenging economic climate, the Middle East Architect Awards has grown every year since its inception, and 2016 is set to be no different with awards being presented across 15 categories at a gala dinner ceremony on Tuesday 29th November.
