RMJM Serbia are a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated architects, designers, and engineers operating from Belgrade, with a portfolio that spans the entire region. Their strong background in innovative architecture, interior design, engineering and construction supervision means the studio has extensive experience in designing everything from aviation projects and sports facilities to commercial masterplans to residential developments.

Led by the CEO and established designer Goran Nikolic and the lead architect Jelena Nikolic, RMJM Serbia share the RMJM family’s ethos of redefining architecture through contemporary design informed by culturally relevant understanding. The studio has established a reputation for unique yet functional design, with projects such as the Sheremetyevo Airport North Terminal Complex in Moscow and the Kingstown masterplan exhibiting the balance between traditional design and contemporary innovation. Recently the team have been involved in a number of high-profile projects, including the interior design for the offices of a global tech company, the facade design for Gallery Krasnodar Shopping Mall and several developments for the Belgrade Waterfront urban regeneration.

Goran Nikolic

General Manager

At RMJM Serbia, Goran Nikolic is a General Manager, who seamlessly blends roles to spearhead the design process and orchestrate team dynamics. Amidst a lean administrative structure, Goran's responsibility encompasses extensive design leadership, particularly in the formative stages of projects and competitions. From refining design concepts to overseeing intricacies, his and Jelena’s efforts set the trajectory for each project.

Additionally, Goran actively engages in author supervision, ensuring design integrity is maintained throughout implementation. As projects progress, he transitions into a managerial role, appointing Design Managers and Team Leaders to steer development while maintaining oversight through regular communication and workshops. Central to his approach is the cultivation of cohesive and innovative teams, meticulously curated through personalized interviews and fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Jelena’s and Goran’s design ethos is deeply rooted in contextual research, weaving narratives that inspire layered and impactful solutions.
