The 11,000 square metre building was the first dedicated Sixth Form College in Newcastle. It provides state-of-the-art facilities for 16-18 year olds across the region, with specialised facilities in class rooms, plus performance studios and laboratories.
At the heart of the building sits an open-plan, bright and airy social space and a multi-storey social learning hub offering dynamic models for learning outside the traditional classroom.
The Sixth Form College strengthens existing pedestrian connections of the vibrant campus fabric while asserting a unique identity as a visible urban landmark. Sustainable and flexible, the new College serves the city through dynamic educational opportunities.
