BIM Manager (Building Information Modeling)

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated BIM Manager to join our architectural firm in Dubai. As a BIM Manager, you will lead the implementation and management of BIM technologies and processes across various architectural, engineering, and construction projects. You will collaborate with design and project teams to ensure seamless integration and coordination of BIM processes, ensuring the highest quality in project deliverables and efficiency in workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Strategy & Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of BIM strategies and processes for architectural, engineering, and construction projects. Establish workflows and ensure BIM standards are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • BIM Software Management: Manage and maintain BIM software tools (such as Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360) ensuring they are used effectively across the project team.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure smooth integration of BIM models, promoting a collaborative environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all BIM models and data are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company standards and project requirements. Perform quality control checks to ensure models are free from conflicts or errors.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and technical support to team members on BIM tools, processes, and best practices. Promote continuous improvement through knowledge sharing.
  • Project Management: Oversee BIM-related project workflows, schedules, and resources. Monitor project timelines and ensure that BIM deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and project managers to ensure that the BIM process meets their expectations and project needs.
  • Document Control & Reporting: Generate regular reports on BIM progress, clash detection results, and other related project documentation. Assist with the preparation of project documentation and presentations as required.
  • Innovation: Stay up to date with emerging BIM technologies and trends. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve project efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in BIM management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within an architectural or AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) firm.
  • Extensive knowledge of BIM tools and software such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Dynamo, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of BIM processes and workflows across all project phases (design, construction, and operation).
  • Experience in creating and enforcing BIM standards and protocols.
  • Familiarity with BIM applications for project coordination, clash detection, and model integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal); Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in BIM Management or related BIM qualifications.
  • Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools and digital project management software (e.g., BIM 360, Procore).
  • Experience in coordinating large-scale projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
