RMJM is seeking to appoint an experienced Project Architect to support the continued growth of our Dubai Studio.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Lead the design and development of architectural projects from concept through to construction.
- Develop and refine design concepts, working closely with clients and senior architects to ensure design intent is realized.
- Supervise and mentor junior architects, providing guidance on design, technical matters, and project coordination.
- Serve as one of the points of contact for clients, maintaining strong client relationships and providing regular project updates.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring that design intent is being followed.
- Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and adheres to industry standards, codes, and regulations.

- Understands the concept of multi-disciplinary (Architecture, Structural, Infrastructure, MEP etc.).
- Society of Engineers/Architectural membership, International Accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent), Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent), Project Management certification (PMP, IPMA, PMI or equivalent) are preferable.
- Arch. or B.Sc. in architecture, with minimum of 10 years post graduate experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ site supervision experience in the delivery of complex high-profile projects within an international design consultancy.
- Wide experience in Local / International Building Codes and regulations (UAE FLS Code, NFPA, IBC, etc.), British / American Standards (ASTM, BS, EN, etc.), Sustainable Design Principles (Estidama, Green Building, LEED).
- Good working knowledge of materials, suppliers, and construction practices in UAE.
- Excellent problem solving and time management capability.
- Ability to make critical decisions (In coordination with Resident Engineer /Relevant disciplines).
- Ability to manage and coordinate team members, various disciplines involved in the design, authorities, and stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness and contractual knowledge with and extend of the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay.
