Overview

The aim of the GLASS project is to provide a dynamic learning and social hub for the campus of the University of Glasgow. It will involve a new build on the site of the front of the former small animal hospital to house a new cafe and social space with a linked flexible study/learning area. The space in the former hospital behind the new building will be converted into a series of tutorial/study rooms. The project involves a number of works to improve the learning and social experience of the students within the campus.

The projects involve the demolition of a number of buildings, the refurbishment of a number of spaces within existing buildings, the alteration of spaces within existing buildings into alternative uses, and the construction of new buildings. Set within a wider vision for improvement across the campus, called the Campus Development Plan, these works will dramatically improve the condition of the campus.
