This new educational campus is located on the historic dockyard near Chatham Maritime in Kent. The new “Universities at Medway” is a unique partnership between the University of Kent, University of Greenwich, Canterbury Christchurch University and Mid-Kent College.
The Grade II listed Pilkington Building, formerly the Canteen Building, marks the second phase of development by the Universities.
The building houses a number of social and teaching spaces including a new cafe, a 180 seat raked lecture theatre, a number of teaching classrooms on the upper floor and flexible meeting space used for exhibitions and conferences.
