The Indian School of Business was set up in 1998 as an internationally top-ranked, research-driven, independent management institution that grooms future leaders for India and the world. It took its first students in 2001.
The 260 acre campus now houses over 400 students, and the first phase of development is now complete.
It now has the 8th largest MBA programme in the world and is the largest provider of Executive Education in Asia. It has international links with Wharton, Kellog and London Business School.
RMJM – YRM were appointed to masterplan the long term growth of the School to up to 4000 post-graduate business students, with specialist master courses in a range of management disciplines to meet the needs of the growing Indian economy. Provision for a similar growth in Executive Education is also included. A substantial commercial development programme also formed part of the brief, reflecting the campus location in the heart of the new high-tech city adjacent Hyderabad.
The masterplan solution builds on the formal geometric clarity of the existing buildings, protecting their landscape whilst addressing the new financial and commercial world on the site boundaries.
