RMJM has been included in a list of the top 50 talents in the Middle East by Architectural Digest. The prestigious list, known as the AD50, is widely perceived to represent the gold standard of architecture and interior design in the region and highlights projects which define the contemporary Middle East landscape. The news confirms what has been a stellar 2017 for RMJM and draws attention to the ‘skyline-altering projects’ the company continues to deliver.
RMJM’s presence in the AD50 recognizes the company’s influence in the region, specifically how it remains ‘dedicated to creating top-of-the-line, innovation-led architectural, interior and urban design responses’. RMJM’s Capital Gate in Abu Dhabi and the H Hotel in Dubai are both cited as projects of note in RMJM’s entry to the list. However, it is the Gate Avenue in DIFC which is deemed worthy of most praise.
‘When completed, the Gate Avenue in DIFC will provide a unique combination of an urban landscape, pristine retail environment and community space in the heart of Dubai,’ Architectural Digest state of the project. The Gate Avenue at DIFC, an 880m long walkway, will provide a seamless connectivity with all the building podiums within the district, from the Gate Building in the North to the primarily residential district in the South, and will encompass 660,000 sq ft of Built up Area. RMJM was assigned in early 2015 to work with the DIFC to develop the Gate Avenue at DIFC into a unique cultural experience in the region and to enhance the resident and visitor experience through vibrant retail and sophisticated dining, all connected by an open-air promenade and relaxed parkland environment.
The iconic development, one of several currently under construction for RMJM, will deliver significant value to the DIFC community and fulfill its objective of establishing the area as a premium lifestyle destination in Dubai.
