Located within Manhattan’s East Side medical and research corridor, the Alexandria Center for Life Science – East Tower forms the first phase of New York City’s flagship commercial life sciences campus. Designed by RMJM Hillier, the building brings together highly flexible laboratory and office environments within a contemporary glass envelope, supporting collaboration between leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology and research organisations.
The architecture balances the demanding technical requirements of advanced research facilities with transparency, daylight and connection to the surrounding public realm. The East Tower is complemented by conference and event facilities, dining, fitness amenities and a landscaped riverfront plaza overlooking the East River, helping establish the campus as both a workplace and a collaborative scientific community. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.
