Overview

The project involves the re-development of the 13 hectare Terom factory site in Iasi, Romania. The site is to the south east of Iasi’s city centre, one of Romania’s major cities and a centre of higher education with two large universities.

Over 5 phases 150,000 m² of offices, labs and data storage will be constructed on top of a contemporary contoured landscape incorporating an Institute for Contemporary Arts, retail, lifestyle facilities and parking.

A new pedestrian bridge will span the adjacent river connecting the site with the technical university. The proximity of Iasi International Airport, the availability of significant power and fibre optic capacity will facilitate planned links to centres of technological and media research in the EU and USA as part of a strategy to position Iasi as the future ‘Silicon Valley’ of Eastern Europe.
